Wisconsin, The First 24 Hours

Brian and Bella arrived safe-and-sound, as did our belongings. A great big Thank You to Brian, as well as to our Mother Earth, for the long haul and staying safe.

The first 24 hours, Milo (Mom’s boy puppy) followed Bella (our girl puppy) around, right behind her tail. Sniffing her, licking her face, and just all-around attached to the wonder of another dog in the house. He has slowed down quite a bit, and they both are settled into just “being”, for the most part.

I’m awake this morning at 4 am. Mom is too. Just getting used to another change. All of us.

We still have a good 1/4 of the truck to unload and put away, and that’s where all the art, kitchen, and other boxes are. That’s where the bulk of the “where do we put this” will be. Myke has been working on getting it emptied this far, and just finding places for our life to fit with Mom’s.

We have an extra bedroom for our main art and craft storage. We won’t be able to work on a project directly in there. Most of Mom’s projects, and some of mine, are able to be done while watching TV (such as crocheting, locker hooking, writing, drawing).

The image below is a picture of an Autumn Tree I made for Mom as a gift one year. There is a Winter Tree to go with it that I have been “working on” for a couple of years. I am using the “locker hook” technique to make it, as I have done with the Autumn Tree.

As far as our personalities living together – I think we’re going to be fine, the three of us. Or seven, if you include the two dogs and two cats. I expect some friction between us now and then, but what is life without its ups and downs.

Thank you for reading.

Lisa
