Christmas is over, and the anticipation of New Year’s and its Eve hang in the air.
One more holiday, one more day away from work for most of the population. One more last hurrah before the grind of January has us recommitted (chained) to our jobs until the next paid holiday.
A new year brings the turning of a new day, perhaps a new chapter, in our lives. Certainly the turning of many a New Year’s Resolution. Soon to be the basis of advertisements we see on TV or hear on the radio – intentions, promises, new projects – a new body, a new car, a new job.
I am still celebrating the last few days of 2018. Yes, it was a crappy start, and barely got any better. But just recently, things are looking up.
My hubby was able to find work with a good, established company. He also has the opportunity to get back into making music with his new drum set. I am no longer on opioids. We are getting re-acquainted with my youngest son, my mom, and my siblings and their families since moving up North.
And I still get to paint. Yay!
