Gibberish?

The title. On my iPad, I used Apple’s word suggestions as they appeared and changed each time I selected a new word. You can get some interesting sentences.

The only thing that could change is your time.

We have been in contact about an issue for years ago for our time.

And then you have a good day to work and I don’t know if you want me or not.

Wow, where are these coming from? I like the first one best.

It’s great when you text your mother with the gibberish, and she has no idea what the heck you’re talking about. Even more confusion sets in. Then she calls you and you’re like, I was just making a goof, I didn’t mean for you to call.

And then you’re on the phone for the next two hours.

If you have an iPhone or iPad, try it out. If you don’t have word suggestions, you can turn it on by going to Settings> General> Keyboards>. For iPad, enable the “Predictive” setting about midway down in the list. For iPhone, you will need to scroll down to the bottom to find the “Predictive” setting and enable it.

I have become my Mother.

I realized, while living with my Mother for the past year, that I got my “inability to end a conversation gracefully” from her. I also realized that I got the “hands on the hips” pose from her. Every time we go out to the garden, we stand there, together, hands on our hips. I have to remind myself when we both have that same pose that I need to shift myself so the neighbors don’t see us out there looking like twins.

I have not become my mother, I lament. My poor husband, though.

New Job News

On another note, my Marketplace orientation is on Tuesday. After that, I believe I am eligible to start working, All I have to say is, finally. I am very much looking forward to working.

I’m still a little disappointed about not getting the Programmer Analyst position at RLWS. That would’ve been our ticket to paying back our personal loans very quickly, and to start saving money again. (To read about my interviews with RLWS, click here)

For now, we will do what we have the capacity to do. We both immensely appreciate the help when we needed it direly.

You will not be forgotten, but it may take awhile.

Not sure where I’m going with this, but…

Things happen for a reason. And I truly tried my best, but I can’t wholly blame destiny. When opportunity arises, I must fight hard and honestly for it.

But guess what?

I just may not be good enough, no matter how hard and honestly I try.

Think about that, in a society where everyone is a winner.

I believe I have made peace with not getting that job. Who knows, at Marketplace I may climb to a position that comes in salary-form and offers good benefits again. For now, part-time work will be a good segue back into the workforce.

Severe Weather

We had a pretty bad storm yesterday evening. Mom and I stayed in the basement with the dogs until the sky was no longer a pale yellow-green color.

Afterwards, we could see Mammatus clouds, which are clouds that look like cotton balls in the sky.

Our power flickered out a couple of times, but it came right back on.

Power was out for two of my sisters. One sister’s power still remains to be out as of this morning.

Hmm. I hear thunder rumbling across the sky. The Weather Channel app show us having some lighter storms and rain up until about 2:30 pm.
