My Current Art/Craft Projects

Winter Path in Acrylics
2019 Lisa Ramsey, Winter Path, Acrylics, a Kevin Hill tutorial

Given the novice with which I started this tutorial, I think it came out pretty OK. It’s titled Winter Path, and it came about from a Kevin Hill tutorial. I love the way the sky blazes the same sunset color that Wisconsin sunsets display, with a multi-greyish cloudy sky. Some of the sunset color reflects in the snow. The trees and branches carry wisps of snow, and the pine tree is decorated with colored lights.

I know once my family gets together for our Xmas dinner, there will be multiple sisters wanting this. I am thinking about selling it, or maybe see if they can outbid each other. (Sisters, I know you’re reading. Get your pocktbooks ready.)

I’m also currently working on a crocheted blanket in white, green, and purple. I’m trying my hand at granny squares with this project. I am about a third of the way into the blanket with an anticipated completion date of 7 more weeks. This gives me time to complete two rows per week (I work, too – I need the money to fund my craft projects, ya know), plus another 2 weeks to sew everything together.

Work is going like work. It’s gotten busier with the Season. We are hiring baggers and cashiers, along with other departments’ needs, so if you’re in the Rice Lake vicinity and looking for work, you can apply at MarketplaceFoodsWI.com. The pay is competitive, the atmosphere is professional but relaxed, and the hours are flexible.

Well, back to my granny squares.

If you are working on a project or two, tell me about it in the comments section. I would love to know what you guys love to do!
