Glass-Stained Butterfly

Glass-Stained Butterfly is an Ink on Paper drawing using Copic markers, by the artist, Lisa Ramsey.

The idea behind this artwork came in the form of a waterfall – the butterfly-human-fairy hair spilling down from her head into a lake of locks.

Her wings, made of glass, stained in the ritual of stained-glass mosaics.

She holds the staff that colors the world, and seems to be conjuring up a beautiful backdrop to an earthly sunset.
